· The best rookie and best Am driver over 40 years old will also be awarded

· Fun guaranteed, both on and off the track

It will be one of the big novelties of the 2021 season: the Porsche Sprint Trophy Benelux! This championship focuses more than ever on gentlemen drivers and novice racers and is thus the first step in the pyramid of Porsche Motorsport Benelux. Powerful cars, compact and intense racing weekends - with no less than 200 minutes of track time spread over two days - and top tracks from the Benelux… Everything is there to make it a successful championship!

To set up this Trophy, it was obvious to choose the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport (the first and second generation of the GT4 version of the Porsche Cayman) and the different generations of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (996, 997, 991 and 991 Gen II). The reliability of these models is beyond question and the driving sensations can be called thrilling, to say the least! Because the driver aids (ABS, ESP, traction control) can be used, the Cayman GT4 also offers the possibility to build up track experience step by step, with limited risks. Ideal for novice racers, who can subsequently focus on more powerful models with less driver assistance, such as the 911 GT3 Cup. Taking all versions into account, the 911 GT3 Cup is the most sold racing car in the world. And that is no coincidence! By including the car in the Porsche Sprint Trophy and allowing the gentlemen drivers and rookies to gain the necessary racing experience during sporty and also pleasant race weekend, this championship can be the first step in a process that will enable the most ambitious drivers to develop towards the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux.

During the five race weekends that are on the calendar, all participants will have the opportunity to put themselves in the spotlight at their own level, thanks to the new class additions. The Rookie Trophy awards the best rookie, regardless of age. The "AM Trophy" is reserved for the best Am driver of at least 40 years.

As part of the events officially organized under the name "Benelux Racing Series", the participants in the Porsche Sprint Trophy Benelux will share the track with the drivers of the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Benelux. Both championships receive separate results so that each brand can compete for its own title. With 25 cars at the start of the first race weekend, a great battle can be expected at every level… to the delight of all drivers, who will not be bored for a second!

Exciting duels on the track, but they are not at the expense of the cosy atmosphere in the paddock. The Porsche Sprint Trophy Benelux wants to be a meeting place for everyone passionate about racing, where everyone feels good and can forget the worries of everyday life to devote themselves fully to their love for motorsport and the Porsche brand. To achieve this, a beautiful hospitality area is installed at every event, which will undoubtedly very quickly become "the place to be". Riders, team members and guests can meet for a snack or a drink at the open bar. With respect to the prevailing sanitary measures, and a bit more relaxed as soon as possible, everyone is also invited to fun-themed evenings. The race weekends will be a wonderful mix of competition and relaxation!

In anticipation of the start of the season, on 8 and 9 May, the participants will test in Zolder on Thursday, April 8, during the official test day. For GP Elite, JW Racing, August Porsche, Speedlover and NGT - all teams that have already confirmed their presence - an excellent opportunity to warm up. A little more patience: the full starting grid of the 2021 edition of the Porsche Sprint Trophy Benelux will be unveiled soon!
