Zonhoven, October 2, 2025. The decisive stretch of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux season is here, with two events and five races still on the calendar. This Friday, October 3, the series takes on the legendary Spa-Francorchamps in the Belgian Ardennes. Less than a week later, on Thursday, October 9, the season will close at Circuit Zandvoort with a triple sprint finale. With two races at Spa and three in the Netherlands, the showdown for podiums and championship glory promises to be intense.

As autumn sets in, the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux enters its traditional title battles, a stage for ambitious rookies, passionate Porsche enthusiasts, and seasoned gentlemen drivers. The Belgian Ardennes once again play host, with the entire program compressed into one action-packed day this Friday, October 3.

While race wins at Spa will be fiercely contested, the focus also shifts to the championship outlook. At the top of the standings, Dino van der Geest (Team GP Elite) holds a commanding lead in his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992. He has 294 points, well ahead of Lennart Hiemstra (MDM Motorsport), who sits on 228.

With 150 points still on the table at Zandvoort, the overall title is unlikely to be decided at Spa. The fight for third is equally compelling, with Arthur Peters (Selleslagh Racing Team) currently on 207 points in his Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. He leads Rey King (WDP Racing, 187 points), Thijn van Berkel (Team GP Elite, 148 points), and Mark van Eldik (Hans Weijs Motorsport, 146 points).

The 992 class battle revolves around Van der Geest, Hiemstra, and other frontrunners – Peters excluded, as he competes in GT4. Meanwhile, several quick drivers will look to shake up the order at Spa, including reigning champion Philippe Wils, as well as British challenger David Harrison and Nathan Luckey (both Team GP Elite). A debut to watch: young Belgian Emilien Allart, joining NGT Racing after prior experience in one-make series.

Also lining up in the Ardennes is Karsten Krämer, normally seen fielding cars for customers under Krämer Racing, who now takes the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – himself.

Peters the man to beat in GT4 RS

In the GT4 RS class, Arthur Peters also leads the way with 150 points, 44 clear of Belle Rapange (Team GP Elite). A title clinch this weekend remains a long shot, as he would need to stretch the gap to 75 points with 50 still available in Zandvoort. Still, contenders like Caspar Hoogeboom and Marco van der Poel will be ready to push the Belgian hard.
