Zandvoort, 22 May 2025. The 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux kicked off in style at the iconic Zandvoort circuit, nestled in the Dutch dunes along the North Sea coast. The new format, featuring three sprint races of 30 minutes, delivered a weekend full of close battles, strategic drives, and varied winners. In a true spirit of sportsmanship, the GT4RS class also saw two different winners, underlining the competitive but respectful nature of the championship.

The Zandvoort round marked the debut of the new triple-sprint format for the 2025 season. Before the lights went out, the time trials saw Dino van der Geest top the timesheets in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – for Team GP Elite, edging out teammate Niels Troost by just a tenth of a second. The GT4RS class was even tighter, with Arthur Peters (SRT) securing pole position a mere four hundredths ahead of Menno van de Grijspaarde (Team GP Elite).

Dino van der Geest leads from pole to win in Race 1
Dino van der Geest made a perfect start to his campaign, converting pole into victory in the opening race of the season after 19 laps. Lennart Hiemstra (MDM Motorsport) took second, with Mark van Eldik (Hans Weijs Motorsport) completing the podium. ‘GK’ (Winning Driven Performance) and Thijn van Berkel (Team GP Elite) rounded out the top five.
In the GT4RS class, former champion Arthur Peters claimed the top spot, ahead of Menno van de Grijspaarde and Belle Rappange (Team GP Elite). Sander Pielkenrood (RFF Motorsport) and Marco Lamsouguer (KKrämer Racing) took victories in the ‘991’ and GT4CS classes respectively.

Niels Troost strikes back in Race 2
Niels Troost bounced back in style in the second race, securing victory ahead of teammate Dino van der Geest and ‘GK’. Mark van Eldik and Thijn van Berkel once again finished in the top five. The GT4RS podium mirrored that of the first race, with Arthur Peters leading Menno van de Grijspaarde and Belle Rappange. Class wins once again went to Sander Pielkenrood and Marco Lamsouguer.

Lennart Hiemstra finishes strong with Race 3 victory
After a disappointing second race, Lennart Hiemstra came back with a vengeance to take a well-earned win in Race 3. He led home Niels Troost and Dino van der Geest in a tightly contested finale. ‘GK’ and Mark van Eldik maintained their consistency, finishing fourth and fifth.
The GT4RS class served up more drama, with Belle Rappange capturing her first win of the season in the late afternoon race. She was followed by Menno van de Grijspaarde, who impressively notched up three second-place finishes over the weekend. Marco van der Poel (Team GP Elite) celebrated his first podium of the year, while Marco Lamsouguer continued his winning streak in the GT4CS class.
