Circuit Zolder, September 12, 2025. The third meeting of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux 2025 brought teams and drivers to Circuit Zolder. The classic Belgian track in Limburg delivered plenty of action, with the weather once again influencing the racing. At the end of two fiercely contested encounters, the overall victories went to Dino van der Geest and Philippe Wils. Van der Geest now travels to Spa-Francorchamps in October as championship leader. The Team GP Elite driver had already made his intentions clear in qualifying by setting the outright fastest lap in his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Type 992. He edged out Janjur Monshouwer (Hans Weijs Motorsport), while in the GT4 RS class, pole position was secured by Arthur Peters.
The opening race unfolded in bright late-summer sunshine and turned into a tense duel for the win. Van der Geest held off Philippe Wils and Rey King (W.D.P. Racing) to take victory. Lennart Hiemstra (MDM Motorsport) and Sam Scholten (PG Motorsport) rounded out the top five, finishing just ahead of local hero Arthur Peters, who claimed top honors in the GT4 RS category.
"It took some adapting," Peters admitted. "After driving the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Type 992 in the 24 Hours of Zolder, switching to the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport required some adjustment, but everything clicked, and I’m delighted to win at home."
Behind them, Hans Weijs Motorsport teammates Mark van Eldik and Alfred Lenferink secured seventh and eighth, while Thijn van Berkel (Team GP Elite) finished ninth. In GT4 RS, podium places went to Caspar Hogeboom and Belle Rapange (both Team GP Elite), with Tri Nguyen and A.K. (Krämer Racing) completing the top five.

Rain shakes up the second race
The second contest began in the dry but turned dramatic after fifteen minutes when heavy rain hit the circuit. One by one, the field headed to the pits for wet tires, with a brief safety car period adding further tension. In the tricky conditions, reigning champion Philippe Wils came out on top, ahead of Janjur Monshouwer and Lennart Hiemstra.
"Always nice to win again," Wils grinned afterward. "But what a rollercoaster with the weather!"

Van Berkel and Van der Geest completed the top five. In GT4 RS, Peters once again proved untouchable, taking his second win of the day to strengthen his title chances. He finished ahead of Belle Rapange and Tri Nguyen, who celebrated his first wet-weather podium.
"This was only my second ever race and my first in the rain, so I’m thrilled with this result," said Nguyen.

A.K. and Caspar Hogeboom wrapped up fourth and fifth in class.
The championship continues on October 3 at Spa-Francorchamps with races eight and nine of the season.
